Season “Investing time in myself” · Episode 6
Bryan Johnson
Think · 1 November 2026
Bryan Johnson invests millions a year in his health. Honestly, he inspires me a lot, with his idea of longevity, of living long and healthy.
I could never imagine living like him. But if you have the money, why not? I don't think it's necessary. When you really break health and longevity down, you end up with very simple things.
For me this closes the circle to the question of how much money someone needs. My goal isn't health for its own sake. It's about investing quality time in myself, because I have the chance to.
Not everyone has that chance, and I understand everyone who's stuck in a 9-to-5 job right now. Get ready in the morning, drive there, sit there. Probably stressed, with deadlines, and someone else telling you what to do the whole time. You come home tired, the kids are waiting, the family is waiting, and more tasks are waiting. Your kids are hungry when they're hungry. They don't wait until you're back from the gym.
If you can plan your own time, it's easy to forget how hard that is, especially when you're not 20 anymore.
When the money comes from your own products and projects and you decide for yourself, you get time. You can invest it, and in the long run it gives you even more time back. That doesn't take millions a year. It takes the hours that belong to you.
Bryan Johnson needs millions for it. What I need most is the hour I decide about myself.
