Season “How to Make 250K Per Year” · Episode 7

The one picture

Learn · 1 November 2026

Minimalism showed me how little really counts. It came six, seven years ago, around 2019/2020, and it isn't finished; am I perfect at it? No. The idea was never to throw things away, but to understand that a lot of things don't add more value. My example is holiday photos: 1,500 pictures nobody ever looks through, until Google sends a memory from seven years ago. What I need is the one picture that switches the memory on. For a memory, what counts is bringing the feeling back, not having a lot. That turned into the question I still ask today: do I really need this for my memory? And there aren't many things that give real joy. The ones that do don't cost millions: the gym every day, a walk with the kids, six weeks in Italy.
